When we began making our Islamic Wedding Cards collection, we consciously steered away from typical designs we had always seen around us. Our aim is to bring a fresh take on Muslim wedding cards, that reflect the beauty of this auspicious occasion and set the right tone for your Nikah Ceremony.

This collection encompasses the true essence of Islamic culture from it’s vibrant colours to it’s historic architectural beauty. You will find grand arches and mehraabs, marvellous mosaics and intricate inlay designs featuring rich festive colour tones. Our Muslim wedding invitation cards embrace the rich elements of Islamic culture whilst maintaining the fine balance between tradition and simplicity, without compromising on the cultural influences.
Like any typical Indian Wedding, the celebrations may extend for several days, with Mehendi, Ladies Sangeet and other festivities, all setting the tone for the Nikah Ceremony and the Walima. Our designer wedding card collection has been mindfully curated to account for this unique structure of Muslim weddings - with design variations for multiple functions and the ability to pick and choose attendees for select functions.
Indian wedding cards are structured to have multiple function inserts in one envelope. If you have only one function, the Nikah Ceremony followed by dinner and festivities, you avail our base offering of one envelope with 1 function insert. If you have additional functions, you can include more inserts depending on the number of families invited for each function. This way, you can customise your invite to each guest based on the functions they are invited for. All design sets have a slight variation in the design/colour across the inserts, to add a little variety and fun whilst maintaining consistency to the overall invitation.
The best part about our offering is that no matter which design you choose in this Islamic wedding card collection, you can extend it to your entire invitation suite - from your printed invites to your digital invites as well as Wedding RSVP cards and Wedding Details cards. You will find a link to the matching Muslim wedding eCard, RSVP card and Details card in the description of each printed card design.
We also offer flexibility. You can choose a lesser quantity for some function inserts based on your requirements. For illustration purposes, you may want to order 100 Nikah Inserts, 75 Sangeet Inserts and only 50 Mehendi Inserts and include everyone for the Walima. You can further personalise each insert by choosing different motifs from our extensive library- from religious to general ornate motifs to further enhance your chosen design.
Now that the design has been chosen, you are tasked with scripting your Islamic wedding card. Many of us may be doing this for the first time and will require some guidance on what to write. Our team has curated a number of wording templates which reflect the typical writing structure of Muslim wedding cards. This will provide you with a good base to start thinking about wording for your card. These templates have been carefully written to cover all the key information you would want to include like parents names, grandparents names, function details including date and time, and most importantly how to craft this in a warm, respectful and welcoming way.
A Muslim wedding card wording is usually incomplete without an auspicious dua such as; “In the name of Allah, the most beneficent and merciful” Or Beginning with the name of “Allah”, the most beneficent and merciful, “May the Almighty grant this couple all the success in their marriage and bestow upon them good health, wealth, imaan and guidance to follow the straight path as shown.” ~ Aameen ~
You will find wording inspirations like these in our invitation wording section to give you a good base to craft the text for your wedding card.
Last but not least, an Islamic wedding card is incomplete without mentioning the key members of your family. And here at the Wedding Card Co. we understand the importance of this. The ‘’Best Compliments Insert’’ has been designed specially for this requirement. It can have the names of your paternal and maternal side relatives and ideally be placed at the end after all other function inserts in the envelope. It can also mention contact name and number, your unique wedding hashtag and with concluding remarks such as “We kindly request no boxed gifts please” or “Blessings only”.
